Surely when ordering online the people that are picking your order should be atleast checking the sell by date?  No ?

Well it seems that in some cases this is not happening and when its not dealt with promptly can be understandingly frustrating for people.  Here a complaints from a customer that recently had a problem, if you have had something similar happen to you then please post it onto our message board.

On the 23/05/2014 I recieved a order ******* totaling £119.81, also on 16/05/2014 I received a order ****** totaling £195.61, am absolutely furious that everything in these orders other than household goods had a best before date of the day the orders arrived or the following day. For example the "fresh" leg of lamb delivered on 23/05/2014 had to be used on that day! I have contacted customer services with promises of call backs to no avail then when I've contacted them again I'm told there's no record of my previous calls or complaints, as a mother of 5 children 3 of which have special needs & also expecting my 6th child later this year its important that there's a constant supply of fresh food available in my house, the fact that on 2 occasions now I've had to go & spend more money replacing the goods that were "out of date" within 24hrs of me receiving them & no logs of the endless phone calls I've made to customer services is an outrage. Since know one is taking my complaint seriously & I'm now over £300 out of pocket from both orders not to mention what I then spent replacing the goods, I've had no choice but to contact a solicitor & citizens advice. If this matter can be cleared up on your part I see no point in taking the matter further, failure to respond will leave me no other option. I look forward to your reply.

We have reported on this site about ASDA Direct and how there Delivery times can be well lets just say "Not as they should be", well we have received the same as well regarding to the click and collect services, again no new story but a story we would of thought would start to become less and less frequent now that they have had the time to iron out he problems that they have.

Here another letter from a irritated customer, we would love to him from any one else with a similar problem.

"Dear Sir or Madam,

                ASDA Direct Order no: **********

I write concerning my problems with this order.
I placed an order on ASDA Direct website on Wednesday 27/12/13 for click and collect. The items were obviously in stock as the order went through with no details of any delays; the confirmation email (see below) said that the items would be available for collection from Thurs 28th November after 5pm.
I received no email or text saying that the order was ready for collection, so on Sunday 1st December I emailed ASDA Direct to ask what had happened to my order. I received no reply therefore, as I had planned, I made a special trip to the nominated ASDA at Quedgeley, Glos. At the click and collect point, I entered my invoice number and received a ticket number. After 10 mins of waiting, I went to Customer Services, where someone went to find my parcel. He returned and said that he couldn’t find it, so he looked it up on the computer. This said that it hadn’t yet been dispatched.
He then called up ASDA Direct where someone agreed that the order hadn’t been dispatched, and said that she would see that it went through on Monday for a Tuesday 5pm delivery. I pointed out that I would have to make another special visit to the store to collect it but was told that that was what would have to happen.
I came back to the Customer Service desk 15 minutes later and said that, as ASDA had misled me as to the delivery date of my items, I wanted them to be delivered to an address provided by me, free of charge. I was told that I would have to contact ASDA Direct for this.
Late afternoon, I called them and spoke to Taufeeq. He told me that the order had not been shipped (which I knew) and that it was blocked, possibly because it was held at the manufacturers or some other problem. Why would this be? When I placed the order, no indication was given that there was no stock.
After various times being placed on hold, he informed me that I had three options:
1.       He would pass this matter onto the technical dept. for them to deal with. He didn’t actually say in what way, though.
2.       I could cancel the order
3.       I could wait for the delivery, which would take 3 -5 working days. Note this is different to the Tuesday delivery date I was given in store.
I would not be able to have it delivered to me personally, as it was now within the click and Collect system. I then asked for the complaint policy and an address to write to, which he was unable to provide.
I am very unhappy with the standard of service I have received over this order, and the lack of helpfulness with your system and staff in enabling me to receive my goods when expected. I believe that I have been treated badly with respect to this, and that at no time has anyone tried to help me in receiving my good in a timely manner without me having to put myself out to make unnecessary trips to your store. I therefore ask what you plan to do about this, as you have potentially lost my custom due to the unhelpful way I was treated.

I look forward to a prompt reply to my complaint."

We have received complaints that there is an issue with some of the petrol pumps on the asda forecourts,
have you had a similar problem read the letter below and lets us know.

I am complaining today, concerning your New Petrol Pumps at the Croydon, Surrey Branch.
I have noticed all the times I get Petrol from Croydon Store Petrol Pumps, it does not delivery Petrol until counter gets to about 11-12p on the Digitial Display, which means every time I get petrol Asda are making approx. 11-12p out of me before my petrol is delivered by the pump.I do appreciate that your Pumps are slightly cheaper than the competition, approx. £128.7 but it is not any cheaper due to the late delivery of petrol. I have asked other people on the forecourt about this and they have also noticed it.

I would appreciate that is did not happen, I do use the Petrol Pumps, but from now on will not use them due to Asda are ripping me off at the pump.

I look forward to your reply,

So we have covered topics such as Asda Money, Asda Direct, Grovery shopping but now we have started
getting complaints about George so his a letter to get you started from a customer.

I am very annoyed and frustrated with my experience at your Keighley store, I bought some items from the George department on 18/10/2013 and when I went to pay for these the lady on the till made a mistake and needed a manager to come and help, I was stood there around 20 minutes waiting for a manager to come and do an override, bearing in mind I was in a rush to collect my daughter from nursery and no apology!
When this was finally done she tried to take payment via my debit card when the till froze, so I had to do it again, I asked the lady if the payment would be taken twice as I had already put my pin in the first time. I was advised it definitely wouldn't be taken twice, then the next day I go to use my card only to find out I have no funds available because the £62 had been taken twice!
I am very annoyed as this has caused me to go overdrawn so I will be charged, and I have been told 3 times from customer services that someone would contact me back and they never did!
I am furious as nobody seems bothered and I can't even use my own money when i need it as it was taken by you! The whole experience and service was very poor and has put me off shopping here again!
